Myofascial Release
My Doctoral Research was focused on Myofascial Release as a treatment method, and while on a clinical placement at an inpatient rehab hospital, I walked by the flyer advertising MFR daily. As part of my final months as a student, I spent 12 days in training to learn the method, and it changed the trajectory of my career. Not only did it release over a decade of my own chronic pain, but then it began helping all the clients at the gym I worked at. I set up a treatment table in a corner and told my boss to send everyone who complained over to me and that I was going to spend a month testing out the method I just learned. By the end of that month, I had a waiting list before my business was even set up! The following courses form the basis of everything I do. All the treatment methods I’ve learned recently integrate into the knowledge and skill I gained from training with John Barnes over the years.
